It is no secret I love essential oils and they have a powerful presence in many of my workshops and in person restorative classes.

There effects can be profound but at the same time, they are subtle and require us to become intune with our internal environment to fully appreciate the magic and transofrmative qualities oils contain.

In this 4 week series, we will take a closer look at the 6 qualities of essential oils (Pungent, Lemony, Green, Sweet, woody, Rooty ) and their corresponding effects on the body-heart-mind and the direction of movement of qi/energy within the body 

Through the medium of movement, yoga and breath work, we will explore these beautiful plant powered medicines to experience what a potnet additional layer they can add to our practice and wellbeing when explored as part of a holistic approach to our own health and wellness.

It is of course not required to use essential oils in this series, as you will glean many benefits from simply breathing and moving your body with care and intention. But, if you already have oils or are interested in investing in a couple, then I can not reccomend enough!

18 months ago when we first visited essential oils, each week of the sereis, we focused on a particular oil and its properties. This time around, because we are looking at catagories of oils,  you will have a greater choice to use any oil(s) with in that catagory that you are drawn to or have access to

I have inclued a list of the oils in each catagory below for your information.

I am so looking froward to exploring these small and mighty powerhouses and the beautiful energetic effects we expereince when we tune in to the oils with care, insoght and intention.

Each class will be a fully rounded practice in its own right including relevant breath work and savasana.

PUNGENT OILS

~Rosemary, lavender, ginger, blackpeper, cardamon, siberian fir, tea tree, frankincense, turmeric and clove

LEMONY

~Lime, lemon, grapefruit, lemongrass, litsea

GREEN

~Lavender, clary sage, marjoram, oregano, roman chamomille

SWEET

~Bergamot, mandarin, sweet orange, neroli, geranium,, rose, spearmint, palma rosa

WOODY

~Atlas cedarwood, patchouli, sandalwood, cypres, juniper, black spruce

ROOTY

~Vetiver, Spikenard

Classes are all live-streamed online between 19:30 and 20:30 and can be practiced in the sanctuary of your own space. You will receive a link for this class @6pm Tuesday. You'll also receive a recording the following morning that you can access for 6 days in case you can't attend live or wish to practice it again.

Next steps:

1. Once you've registered for the class online, you'll receive an email requesting payment in order to secure your spot. Once you've made payment, your spot is secured and you'll receive the link each week as per the details above.
