The peri-menopause to post-menopause transition can be a breeze for some, but for many, it can negatively affect their physical and mental wellbeing.

 

By harnessing the five cornerstones of health, which are Movement, Self-Stress Regulation, Gut and Digestion, Sleep, and Purpose and Joy, I’m uniquely able to support you through this transition, to create a life you’ll love.

We have oestrogen receptors all over our body. As our oestrogen levels decline as we move towards menopause, the symptoms of peri/menopause can be vast and have the potential to affect pretty much every system in our body.  
 
Menopause will happen to every single one of us and God willing, we will spend at least a third of our lives in this phase. Whilst for some individuals there will be few, if any symptoms, for the vast majority of us there is a huge array of symptoms we may experience in varying degrees. From vasomotor symptoms (hot flushes and/or night sweats) and cardiovascular changes to physical and emotional shifts (e.g. weight gain, aching joints, mood swings,  low libido, lack of joy or enthusiasm for things you used to love).
 
Modern life gifts us so much. But it also has a sneaky way of sapping the juice out of us if we’re not careful, or don’t listen to what our body is telling us.
 

Whatever your age, you’re more than likely doing and holding a lot. 


 

Often, we can arrive at midlife, perhaps at the pinnacle of our careers whilst caring for and supporting our children, ageing parents who are depending on us more, partners, friends and colleagues… the list of people depending on us goes on.

 

And whilst we do all of this gladly and with love, at the end of the day and there is often little time or energy left to tend to our own needs.

 

This this is when the five cornerstones of our health can begin to crumble, right at the time when we need steady foundations the most.

Midlife can at times feel overwhelming with all the physical, emotional and energetic shifts taking place simultaneously. There may be a feeling that we are unravelling and of deep cellular shifts taking place.

But what if we could re-frame the menopause?

Although we can find it challenging (some of us deeply so), it’s important to recognise that it is also a time of potent change. This chapter has the potential to lead us to the brightest, most exquisite version of ourselves. 

 

In Eastern cultures, menopause is not viewed as negative but rather something to be both celebrated and respected. I am in no way minimising the very real and at times, debilitating effects of this natural life stage. Trust me, I have experienced many of them myself. What I am hugely passionate about, is sharing the understanding that we have the autonomy to change the narrative and experience around this powerful, potentially transformative chapter in our lives.

My signature T H R I V E coaching programme curates my 15 years of experience as a yoga teacher (Vinyasa/Pregnancy/Restorative) and more recently a menopause and holistic health coach, blending in my knowledge of essential oils and mindfulness, to create a space that welcomes you just as you are, as you move into midlife and beyond. A space where you can feel safe, heard, and able to unfurl at your own beautiful pace. 

 

I curate the time and space to acknowledge where you are, to uncover the areas of your life where you may benefit from some support.

 

I will walk alongside you, and by helping you become familiar with the five cornerstones of health and wellness, you’ll be able to create a foundation that is both strong and vibrant as well as joy filled.

I don't believe there is a magic pill that will cure all our symptoms.

But I do believe with all my heart that we are the artist of our own lives, and we are in the most fortunate position to have agency over how we wish this next chapter to look and feel. 
 
Even if you are on HRT, the work here is still necessary. Believe me: I am on HRT and still adopt a holistic approach to my health and wellbeing. 
 
We all need a holistic toolbox, along with small realistic, achievable and consistent changes that we can ease into our daily lives.

OPTION 1 
6 X 75 MINUTE BI WEEKLY 1-2-1 SESSIONS

I am so honoured to be able to offer you this 12 week 1-2-1 bespoke coaching course. We will create space together to explore through movement, rest, breathe work, discussion and connection, the five cornerstones of health, which are all vital for building an exquisite midlife and beyond full of vitality, ease and wellbeing.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • 6 X 75 minute 1-2-1 sessions via Zoom, each focusing on one of the five cornerstones of health and how I can help support you to make achievable refinements to these foundations, so you feel your best, most resilient self.

  • Bi-weekly check in via WhatsApp to help keep you on track and feel supported

  • 6 PDF booklets to remind you of what we covered, along with information on other holistic wellness tools such as essential oils, journal prompts and self-regulatory stress techniques

  • a 10ml bottle of two of my Intentional Blends: Rest Well Sleep Deep and Clarity

  • Plus, you’ll have access to my online weekly yoga classes for the duration of our 12 week time together

 

During each session, we’ll focus on one of the five main cornerstones of health. Together, we’ll explore how that cornerstone resonates with you, creating a holistic toolbox of resources you will be able to call on long after our time together.

 

Alongside considered discussion, reflection, and identifying key ways you can support yourself though this transformative period, we’ll also devote time for gentle fortifying and restorative movement, breathe work and self-stress regulating exercises. 

 

Together, we will compile some realistic intentions for you to put in place over the following fortnight, based on the cornerstone we have focused on in the session, and we’ll have a WhatsApp check in halfway through the fortnight.

This is a breakdown of the six bi-weekly sessions

SESSION 1 WE BEGIN WHERE WE ARE We’ll look at the main hormonal shifts that are unfolding during the peri and menopausal transitions and why the effects can be so far reaching for us physically, physiologically, psychologically and emotionally. Our hormones affect everything and everything affects our hormones! The information we cover here will ground and orientate you to where you are and why you are experiencing so many shifts and changes

SESSION 2 LET'S TALK ABOUT STRESS MANAGEMENT It’s a biggie and affects every single one of us and every single facet of our being. We will begin to understand the detrimental role stress plays on our bodies and how simple, effective and accessible stress regulation techniques, such as movement, breath, massage and essential oils can help us in re-calibrating our nervous system so it’s in a place of balance and increased resilience.

SESSION 3 THE DELICATE DANCE BETWEEN HORMONES, BRAIN, GUT AND DIGESTIVE HEALTH Why looking after our brain, gut and digestive health is so vital for our overall health and wellness, not just today but for the years ahead. There’s so much we can do together here with simple tweaks through diet and lifestyle.

SESSION 4 UNFURLING INTO MINDFUL MOVEMENT Living your best midlife is all about having access to a wide and varied toolbox. In this session, we look at movement and how a varied movement palette is so vital for overall health and wellbeing, now, and in the years to follow. With a considered and mindful approach, we have the tools literally at our fingertips for helping to ward off Sarcopenia, Osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s as well as increasing levels of fitness, mood and motivation and perhaps most importantly vitality.

SESSION 5 REST WELL, SLEEP DEEP Quite possibly the cornerstone that underpins all the others: good quality sleep. Sleep however can be elusive during these years, the effects of which can feel debilitating to every aspect of our being. But I promise you, there is so much we can do to ease our tired minds and body toward deep restorative sleep. We’ll look at how we can prepare for a good night's sleep from the moment we wake in the morning. We’ll take a gentle restorative practice coupled with calming breath work and essential oils to bring our bodies and minds to a place conducive to rest.

SESSION 6 FUTURE VISIONING AND JOY: YOUR PURPOSE It’s interesting to note that many Eastern cultures do not have a direct word for menopause, the closest translation in Japanese is KONENKI, which roughly translates as a period of renewal, bringing with it a renewed sense of purpose, growth and possibility. By changing our mindset and the narrative surrounding this chapter in our lives, now is the time where we can step into our power and into our light. You have the power to design and manifest how you wish your second spring to look, feel and taste. This is a glorious time to be alive and I am so excited to see where you choose to place your light.

OPTION 2
A ONE-OFF 90 MINUTE 1-2-1 SESSION

This session gives you the opportunity to pause and take a closer look at where you are with your health and wellbeing. 

Whether you’re looking for reassurance that you are on the right track, or you are feeling stuck and in need of guidance in one or more of the five key areas of health and wellbeing, I’ve got you.

 

This 90 minute session will gift you the opportunity to get curious, explore and discuss the areas you have been struggling in or would like guidance on. 

 

You will leave the session with some practical advice and receive a follow up email with the areas we discussed and some strategies for you to use to encourage an increased sense of health and wellbeing

 

Before our time together, we will have a preliminary 10 minute chat so I can tune in to how I can best support you in our time together.
