September's Sacred Saturday Flow honours the turning of late summer into autumn as we acknowledge the seasons and tune into their qualities.

We will look to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for inspiration. TCM draws on the five elements that represent the cyclical nature of the seasons and our bodies. Each element is associated with a season and coupled with its own emotion, and organ system.

Autumn correlates to metal, the lungs and large intenstine. So this practice encourages us to explore and embody the qualities of the metal element ~ the coming and going of life, the end of cycles, and the rhythms of breath.

The themes incapsulated within autumn and metal revolve around transformation. How can we remain balanced and at ease, willing to dance along with the natural flow and cycles of life?
