In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TMC), late Summer is a unique season that nestles between mid-August and the Autumn Equinox. Nature is in its final surge of growth and abundance, offering up fruits in fullness before a contraction and a turning inwards. A beautiful time of transition and balance, associated with the nurturing Earth element — late summer is a season inviting us to gather and nourish. Cultivating steadiness at the centre of our being, it is both a moment of ripening and a gentle shift toward the slower richer rhythms of Autumn.
As we move deeper into Autumn, the energy changes. After the carefree lightness of summer, there is the invitation to root down, let go, and prepare for the for the fallow season of winter ahead.
